HMT Purchases a Doble F6150... A Formidable Addition To Our Extensive
Equipment Arsenal!!

At HMT, we invest in excess of $200,000.00 annually on new electrical test equipment and service vehicles. This represents a significant financial commitment to our business and more importantly, to our customers.

The Doble F6150 is the total test solution for relay protection schemes. The F6150 allows you to evaluate your protection relays and schemes in their environment, using simulated power system conditions and events. The Doble 6150 is the only instrument with the high power, flexibility and sophisticated software needed to run full simulation tests on your relays and protection schemes. The F6150 testing capabilities include:

  • Testing of high impedence electromechanical relays
  • Effective testing of electromechanical, high burden, low setting, ground overcurrent relays
  • Test any type of relay from 0.5 to 180 A at a high power
  • Dynamic state testing and transient simulation testing using 12 independently controlled sources
  • GPS satellite synchronization allows you to conduct an end-to-end test under simulated power system conditions
  • User friendly software suite for the F6150 makes it easy for test technicians to perform everything from routine characteristic checks to dynamic state simulation tests

The Doble F6150 is the only instrument that can test the full range of protection schemes including electro-mechanical, numerical, and combinations of all types. With the F6150, you can easily run a wide variety of tests to determine whether your relays are detecting signals properly, communicating correctly and responding appropriately to power system events.

... that 208V and 480V power breakers require periodic testing and maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation? Older style electro-mechanical trip units found on most power breakers 1980 and older can fail without warning. Failures can lead to false operation or render your system completely out of service. If a power breaker fails to operate and clears an electrical fault, the results can be catastrophic including damage to equipment, real estate and even loss of human life.
